Fireman Sam Spin and Rescue Game

Jumbo have a brand new game on the market perfect for fans of Fireman Sam.  A real family favourite, Fireman Sam is the 'hero next door'!  In this game children must spin Sam round on the playing board, as up to four players aim to collect five rescue cards in this fun memory game.  Each card features something needed for an emergency situation.  The game features voice and sound effects from the TV show as Sam spins around, making it a perfect game for Fireman Sam fans.

We were sent a Fireman Sam Spin and Rescue game to put through its paces with the Tiny Testers.

The Fireman Sam figure fits onto a spinner which sits in a circular, plastic base.  Cardboard markers slot into the base for each player in a position according to how many are playing.  Sam is spun around and points to one of the players who are given the chance to pick up one or two rescue cards, or forfeit a card they have already collected.  Players turn the rescue sets trying to find the set that corresponds to the character on their marker.

Kizzy and Freddy (helped by Daddy) have been playing the Spin and Rescue game.  Freddy loved spinning Sam and hearing the sound effects and instructions.  Kizzy enjoyed the challenge of remembering where the cards were as they were turned over and replaced.

The game was fast paced and fun.  The children enjoyed spinning Sam who really whizzed around on the semi-spherical plastic base, triggering the voice and sound-effects which control the gameplay.  The cardboard markers were a little fragile and kept falling out, a plastic tab or pre-printed sections on the base would have worked better, but that is my only criticism.

The game requires 2 x AAA batteries that are not included.  Gameplay lasts about 15 minutes so even young children stay engaged.  It is recommended for ages 3 and up and is for 2-4 players.

Fireman Sam Spin and Rescue Game can be bought at Amazon for just £9.74.
